Let’s add a skylight in the kitchen…

Removal of the interior walls necessitated a couple of large beams (PSLs, if you need me to be precise) tucked into the ceiling. The problem was that we also wanted to add  a skylight. A little creativity and addition of two more beams turned an unfortunate placement into something very cool. We’ll be adding some LEDs up in there with an astronomical switch which will bathe the room at dusk till late evening. I totally love the way this one’s coming together.

A bathroom skylight with an attention to detail…

There’s more to this than meets the eye. Notice how tight the corners are. This is a very good example of ‘level 5′ smooth wall drywall and some careful carpentry.

Also, notice how the three piece crown moulding ( Windsor One) Fits’ perfectly… It’s almost like we planned it that way.

Plumbing like you’ve never seen!

We’re remodeling a recently purchased home near downtown Los Altos. As part of the remodeling all of the bathrooms: Master Bath, Guest Room bath, hall bath, etc., the homeowner’s spec’d ROHL brand shower valves, hand sprays, rain heads etc. ROHL are top of the line and the configuration is requires a totally custom solution. What’s also amazing is that we’ll be installing more than 23 slabs of granite/limestone in the bathrooms and kitchen alone!

I thought you’d like to see the rough plumbing in progress. Our in-house plumber is very serious about his work and we’re proud of what he can do!

This is going to be an amazing shower!!

Demo complete… Layout and another phone call.

Time for layout. The slab is in great condition and the weather is great.

How to get perfect granite…

When you select a slab of granite or marble for your project, here’s how you get the best part of the slab where you want it.

A template is created using slats of wood, then we position it in just the right spot, then the slab is cut via some pretty sophistacated CNC water jets…

It’s that easy!

Another Los Altos Hills Pantry

This is a straight forward yet awesome pantry!

You could load an aisle of groceries into this one.

Wayne, as usual, knocked this one out of the park.

Sunnyvale Hall Bathroom

We took over a large whole-house addition/remodel from another ’far-from-ideal’ contractor . We unfortunately had to replace much of the shoddy work they did.

Here’s one of the five (!) bathrooms we rebuilt/completed as part of the project.

Classy, timeless, and simple beauty. We really like this one.

Pantry. Everyone wants a pantry!

Durning this remodel, we converted an under-stair closet into a pantry. In the photo below we’ve just painted it with a first coat.

We build ‘em strong, functional, and good looking! Everyone needs a pantry.

A Kitchen from the Past

In 2008 we rebuilt a house and added a 700sf addition in Mountain View.

Here’s the kitchen mocked up right before we started rough electrical. We used plywood to approximate the cabinet locations.

This is a great time to confirm the kitchen design and make adjustments as necessary.

In this project we adjusted a few things: the peninsula and skylight locations and added an island. Making these changes at this stage were very easy. This was a fun project.

Grilled Cheese!

Mmmmm! Grilled Cheese sanwiches on artisan white bread are awesome.

This photo is of a tasty lunch cooked to perfection on a JADE 60″ Range with Griddle.
